Manage absence notification messages

You can customise absence notification messages sent to class teachers, parents and guardians.

When are notifications sent?

Notifications are sent to teachers, parents and guardians under the following conditions:

If automatic absence notifications are enabled, the following are sent to parents and guardians.

updated	marked absent now arrived	no	Your child is now in class

updated	marked present now departed	no	Your child is now absent from class (absence unexplained)
updated	marked present now departed	not applicable	Your child just left class early (absence unexplained)
unmarked	arrived after class start time.	not applicable	Your child just arrived to class late (absence unexplained)

You can write your own text summary for each notification type. These are used for internal notifications and SMS if chosen.
