This tutorial is for Administrators

It’s a three-step process to create and publish an interview

  • You setup the basic settings, the type, the classes and teachers, and the times.

  • You assign classes to timeslots.

  • You publish the interview to make it available to teachers, parents and guardians.

There are also optional steps:

  • Delete classes from timeslots

  • Assign new room for specific timeslot.

Before you start

View Interviews

  • Login to uEducateUs and expand your browser window so the left-hand main menu is visible.

  • Click the 3-bar hamburger menu at the top left if you can’t see the menu.

  • Click Events > Interviews

Step one: create interview

  • Click Create.

  • Name the interview.

Type and location

  • Choose from Parent/Teacher Interview or Student Support Group (SSG).

  • Choose the campus

  • Enter a location (e.g., Room 1b)

Parent/Guardian options

Click Yes for Require parents to select from appointment types, then tick each option they can choose.

Classes and teachers

  • Click Yes to Exclude classes, then tick each class to exclude.

  • Click Yes to Exclude teachers, then tick each teacher to exclude.

Time settings

  • Enter a start and end date

  • Tick days the interviews can take place

  • Enter the time for the first interview.

  • Enter the interview duration in minutes

  • Enter the number of interviews that can take place in one day.

  • Click Add timeslots

  • Click Add Timeslot to insert more.

  • Click Delete if you want to start again.

Booking deadlines

Let parents book consecutive timeslots with Manage parent/guardian interview settings

Choose a deadline for interview bookings.

  • No deadline

  • Number of hours before first daily timeslot

  • Specific date

Save and close

  • Click Save.

  • Click Finish.

Step two: Assign classes to timeslots

Now you’ve created an interview, you can assign classes to each of the available timeslots.

Assign classes to single timeslot

  • Click a timeslot box.

  • Tick All classes or individual classes

Assign classes to all timeslots on a single day

  • Click a timeslot box.

  • Tick All classes, or individual classes.

  • Tick Assign classes for whole day.

Assign classes to all timeslots on all days

  • Click a timeslot box.

  • Tick All classes, or individual classes.

  • Tick Assign classes for entire interview

Save and close

  • Click Save.

  • Click Finish and Yes on the confirmation.

Step Three: Publish interview

When you’re happy with the settings, you must publish the interview to make it available to teachers, parents and guardians.

  • Click 🔽 >Publish on any unpublished interview.

  • Choose a date and time the interview will become public.

  • Click Publish.

These optional steps are also available.

Remove class from timeslots

You can remove classes from specific timeslots, timeslots on a day or from the entire interview.

Remove from a single timeslot

  • Click View for the interview.

  • Click Assign classes.

  • Click a timeslot box.

  • Click 🔽 > Remove class.

  • Click OK.

Remove from all timeslots for the day

  • Choose any timeslot box.

  • Click 🔽 > Remove class.

  • Tick Remove class from all timeslots for this day.

  • Click OK.

Remove class from all timeslots

  • Choose any timeslot box.

  • Click 🔽 > Remove class.

  • Tick Remove class from all timeslots for this interview period.

  • Click OK.

Save and close

  • Click Save.

  • Click Finish and Yes on the confirmation.

Change location for interview timeslot

If you need to move an interview, you can do this for individual timeslots.

View the interview

  • Click View for the interview.

  • Click Assign classes.

Change timeslot location

  • Click a timeslot box.

  • Click Edit location.

  • Enter a new location (e.g., Class 2b).

Save and close

  • Click Save.

  • Click Finish and Yes on the confirmation.
