Asset tracking
The following steps need to be completed to correctly setup asset tracking. These are:
Create Personnel
Create Customer Accounts
Create Assets
Create Jobs and Tasks
Assign to Personnel
Create Personnel
From the Main Menu, click on Personnel.
You are required to give your personnel:
First Name
Last Name
Phone Number
Personnel Type
Allocate each personnel the following Permissions:
Show Jobs
Can Scan Asset
Creating Customer Accounts
To assign assets to your customers you must first create your customer accounts.
Create an account that is the location that your assets will be stored.
In the Main Menu, click on Customers and click on the Add button.
You must complete the following:
Code
This will be the code that is associated with this customer
Description
Customer Name
You can also record the Primary Contact and the Billing Contact here
Customer Venues
Customer venues are subsets of the main customer account and allow you to create multiple venue locations for an individual customer.
Each customer must have at least one Venue attached to it, hence why customers are required to be created before venues
Click on Customers that is found in the Main Menu and press Add
You are required to complete:
Customer Code
Description
Once you have created your customers, you can proceed to create your venues.
Click on Venues that is found in the Main Menu and press Add
You are required to:
Select your customer account
Select venue type
Venue Name
All other fields are optional however we do recommend
Address
Suburb
Create asset
Before you can create an Asset, you must first create the following.
Create asset types
Code -
Description
Enabled
Create Asset SKU
Asset type
Asset Brand
Make
Model
Year
Description (Mandatory)
Asset Brands (Optional)
Asset Suppliers (Optional)
Once you have created Asset Types and Asset SKU you are ready to create your Assets
Click on Assets in the Main Menu, your assets are required to have:
Asset ID
Asset Class
SKU
It is also recommend that you give your asset a home location if your Tasks require the asset to be returned rather than being shared around.
Task and Job creation
Before you can begin creating Tasks (and Jobs) you must first create the Personnel that will be completing the Tasks and given the permission to access Jobs and the ability to Scan Assets
Creating a Task
You can create a task from any of the following Main Menu options and pressing Add:
Tasks Unallocated
Tasks Allocated
Tasks On-Hold
Tasks Completed
Tasks Cancelled
To successfully create a task and have it allocated to personnel, the following must be completed:
Task Code
Task Type
Task Status
Task Date
This is the date the task will appear on the Personnel LivMate Job page
Venue
Asset Movement
Required Asset Type or Require Asset
Assigned to
This will be the Personnel who you want to complete the task.
