This tutorial is for Administrators

Step one: view custom absence types

  • Login to uEducateUs and expand your browser window so the left-hand main menu is visible.

  • Click the 3-bar hamburger menu at the top left if you can’t see the menu.

  • Click Attendance > Absent Notes > Manage types.

Step two: create custom absence type

  • Click New Absent Note Type.

  • Name the type.

Step three: choose settings

Link an attendance code to an absence type, and allow parents to use it.

  • Select Attendance code…

  • Select Yes to allow parents to use it.

Step four: save & close

  • Click Add.

  • The new absence note type will be automatically enabled and usable by parents.

Step five: disable the absence type (optional)

If an absent note type is not to be used any longer, it can be disabled.

  • Click 🔽 > Disable.
