This tutorial is for Administrators

You can manually import attendance to Cases21 at any time between December 25 and the start of the next school year.

Important: You must perform this import before performing the roll over tasks in cases21 for the new school year.

Before exporting attendance from uEducateUs it would be good to check that there is no Attendance Maintenance out standing.

  • Click Attendance > Maintenance

  • If there is any attendance listed, it should be corrected before exporting attendance from the system.

This is also the last chance to correct any unexplained absences.

  • Click Attendance > Unexplained absences

  • If there is are any student absences that need to be corrected, then this is the last chance to fix it before exporting attendance from the system.

Step one: create Cases21 attendance export file

Record the dates selected so they can be included when you import the file in Cases21.

  • Login to uEducateUs and expand your browser window so the left-hand main menu is visible.

  • Click the 3-bar hamburger menu at the top left if you can’t see the menu.

  • Click Attendance > Export

  • Choose the required year and month (if importing all attendance data for the year, select all months).

  • Click Export.

  • Click Go back to Export Attendance.

Step two: download export file

  • Click Attendance > Export.

  • Verify the report is at the top of the list.

  • Click Download on the generated file.

  • Your file should download to your computer Downloads folder.

Step three: launch Cases21 and choose attendance import

  • Launch Cases21.

  • Click Import/Export Data.

  • Click Import Data from ERM systems.

  • Click Import half-day attendance.

Step four: import attendance file

Any attendance data matching the dates selected will be overwritten by the export file data.

  • Click the Step 1: Select Half Day Import File Location button.

  • Browse your computer for the import file and select.

  • Click Run on the Security Warning message if it appears.

  • Choose From and To dates to match those used to generate the export file.

Step five: confirm details

If the import is successful, you’ll see a confirmation of the number of records imported.

  • Click Finish when ready.
