Manage Case Note Categories

This article is for Administrators with the Manage Case Notes privilege

Case Note Categories act as a template for Case Notes. They are used to:

  • Grant or revoke the View Case Notes privilege to selected Administrators and teachers

  • Grant or revoke the Create Case Notes privilege to selected Administrators and teachers

  • Set subcategories to make additional fields available for a case note created under a category.

View Case Notes

 

  • Click Well-Being > Case Notes

Create Case Note categories

Create categories and assign users to use them.

  • Click Manage Categories

  • Click Create Category

  • Name the category

Grant View Case Notes privileges

  • Under Admin View Case Note Access, select:

    • None

    • All

    • Specified users

  • Under Teacher View Case Note Access, select:

    • None

    • All

    • Specified users

Grant Create Case Notes privileges

  • Under Admin Create Case Note Access, select:

    • None

    • All

    • Specified users

  • Under Teacher Create Case Note Access, select:

    • None

    • All

    • Specified users

Set notifications

  • Choose when notifications will be sent:

    • Never…

    • When a case note is created

    • When a case note is created with general notes or specific subcategories

    • When a case note has specific subcategories

Save and exit

  • Click Create.

Disable a category

  • Click > Disable

Delete a category

  • Click > Delete
